Music Career essays A music career is vast and has a great variety of positions available at the present time. There are a numerous number of jobs that comes to mind when thinking of working in a music career. Occupations like singers, guitarists, music therapist, composer, conductor, and etc are generally what people think of when it comes to a music career. Presently, one of the most respected careers is being a pianist or a piano teacher. Khun Kay Hemvachiravarakorn, a pianist who works as a piano teacher at home and the music school Jintrakarn at Central Chidlom. Ever since she graduated from college, she became a pianist. It was something that she loved doing and something that she always wanted to do. Choosing a career, then, is based of what she enjoyed doing most. Although it might not be a job that offers the highest salary, it is worth doing something that one finds enjoyable. When asked about what she thought of the job, she said, Its not a job, its passion. This strongly emphasizes how Khun Kay feels about her career. She thought it was important to follow your heart. Choose a career that would best suit your likes. Everyday that she goes to work, she looks forward to it. How does being a pianist affect Khun Kays life? It truly has affected her in every way. Her life might seem simple, since all she does is teaching piano. There is actually much more than that. It is not easy to make a good living as a pianist. Partly, because it is a time-consuming job since practicing is extremely important. Being a pianist is much more complex than it looks. You have to really spend some time practicing, since what you teach is all an important knowledge to your students, said Khun Kay. She has to practice playing piano at least one and a half hour per day. However, she has quite a bit of free time during the day.
